What is there to say about TDE’s frontman? The guy is a star, a rhyme slinger, a hip hop purest and simply, an artist. Since the release of To Pimp A Butterfly, each live performance has been electrifying. Kendrick brings more passion and excitement to his live performances than most artists we’ve seen in the last ten years.
The Grammy performance was the breaking point for fans. We needed these untitled cuts from the TPAB sessions.
Earlier this week, Top Dawg, TDE CEO, showed fans a dry erase board full of promise. New TDE music from EVERYONE (including two unnamed members) was listed for pending releases between now and 2017. Not long after this, Top took to Twitter/Instagram to inform fans that he and TDE aren’t in for the thrills and that he will push the button when he’s ready–“Ive decided 2 drop a project 1 day this week. I won’t say wut day or who.”
Last night was the night.
untitled unmastered. was released featuring eight cuts from Kendrick that featured production from Cardo, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Nard & B, Egypt (five-year-old son of Swizz Beatz), and more.
The project is dope. Simple as that. It is also available on all streaming services. Enjoy.
