There’s too much at stake and the time is now for Bas to claim what is rightfully his.
That’s the approach heard in his new project, Too High To Riot.
Bas, Dreamville’s Klay Thompson to J. Cole’s Steph Curry was in the mix of the Thursday night/Friday morning releases with Kendrick, 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne, Curren$y and whoever else.
We got a sample of the work that would be coming when Cole unleashed Revenge Of The Dreamers II. Alongside his label mates, Bas presented “Night Job” featuring Cole.
The project in traditional Dreamville fashion is honest. The honesty here is clouded, but not overshadowed by drug use and some inner demons both in content and production. There’s a vibe to pick up on here and it’s evident throughout the 37 minutes.
Collectively, this may be Bas’ most cohesive project. He offers a solid amount of tracks with a tolerable length. Good move, fiends. The album is available for purchase on iTunes.
