It’s been a while since we’ve had a solo project from Steve Cantrell. For those that may have been looking, wondering, and waiting; wait no more, Cantrell has released new music and is working on more.
Cantrell, an artist (rapper-dancer-skater) from Albany, GA released “Willie Mays” in May and has been picking up steam in his creation of The EP Tape Demo Project. The next track in his rollout for TETDP, as he calls it, is “Lied To You”. In the Mjnichols-produced track, the artist unveils the falsity in the rap game and some of the recent trials that he has experienced in the down time that we haven’t heard from him. He raps in a tone of confidence stronger than we’ve ever heard before, which shows that Cantrell has been practicing and refining his technique. The EP Tape Demo Project released earlier this fall and along with that new collection of music, Cantrell will release visual treatments for “Willie Mays” and up to two more tracks before the end of the year.
